Performance of the AquaCrop model for corn hybrids under different irrigation strategies

ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance AquaCrop model in estimation grain yield and crop water for nine hybrids corn with different irrigation strategies municipalities Santiago, Chile, Alegrete, western region state Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Data on climate, soil, management over four seasons (2015 2019) were used, first two Santiago city, third fourth Alegrete city. experimental design randomised blocks, consisting five treatments (0, 50, 75, 100 125% evapotranspiration), four, six one hybrid, respectively, first, second growing season. In season, hybrid considered consisted suppression supply during its reproductive period, corresponding ETc vegetative (ETcVeg.) (ETcRep.) phases, as follows: 0, 50Veg./25Rep., 75Veg./37.5Rep., 100Veg./50Rep. 100% ETc. model, evaluated through statistical indicators, “excellent” “good” simulation productivity, respectively.
